You Don’t Need to Know Everything About Building a House

That’s my job. Most of my clients are building their first custom home, and they come in excited but unsure where to start. I walk you through every decision — from initial floor plan layouts to final permit paperwork — so you never feel lost in the process.

What Every Project Includes

• Initial phone conversation to understand your needs, wants, and expectations
• Site visit (when needed) to assess your lot, orientation, and local conditions
• Up to 4 concept options — rough floor plans, 3D views, and elevation drawings so you can see what works before we commit
• Collaborative refinement — we go back and forth until the design is exactly right, on your timeline
• Full construction drawings — floor plans, elevations, sections, and details that builders can actually use
• 3D renderings — interior camera shots, exterior views, even full-color renderings with landscaping
• Heat calculations, wall bracing plans, and all permit paperwork — included, not pushed off to the lumber yard
• Builder-friendly plan sets — clean, well-organized, and easy to read on the job site

Fast Turnaround

The industry standard right now is 8–12 weeks for a set of plans. I target under two weeks depending on the project. When your builder is ready to go, waiting months for plans isn’t an option.

What I Design

I draw everything from ranch homes to story-and-a-half designs, shed houses, duplexes, and bardominiums. I also have experience with ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction — an increasingly common building method in Wisconsin for its energy efficiency and durability. Residential homes under 5,000 square feet are my specialty.

A Real Person, Not a Plan Service

I’m based in Wisconsin, and I meet with clients in person. I do site visits. I answer the phone when you have questions — even the ones that aren’t about plans. When you work with me, you’re getting a guide through the whole process of building a home, not just someone who emails you a PDF.
