Your guide through the home design process.
Most of my clients are building their first custom home. They come in excited but anxious — they've never navigated building codes, floor plan decisions, or the back-and-forth with a builder. That's exactly where I come in. I'm not just drawing plans. I'm guiding you through the entire process of building a home, from our first phone call to the day your builder breaks ground.
I earned my Associates Degree in Architectural Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, where I received the 2025 Most Outstanding Student Award for the program. Before starting Arthur Home Design, I honed my skills at JT Schmidt Plumbing doing drafting and design work, and at Seymour Lumber where I saw firsthand what builders need from a set of plans.
That construction-side experience shapes everything I do. My plans are designed to be easy for builders and framers to read and use on the job site — clean layouts, clear dimensions, thorough notes. Builders like working from my drawings because I've set them up with the builder in mind, not just the homeowner.
I specialize in residential homes under 5,000 square feet across Wisconsin — custom homes, bardominiums, ranches, story-and-a-half designs, duplexes, additions, garages, sheds, and more. I also have experience designing ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) homes, which are becoming increasingly common here in Wisconsin for their energy efficiency and durability.
Every project includes 3D renderings, interior camera shots, exterior views, heat calculations, wall bracing plans, and all permit-related paperwork — things that other designers often charge extra for or push off to the lumber yard. And while the industry standard turnaround is 8–12 weeks, I target under two weeks depending on the project.
I'm based in Wisconsin, and I do site visits and meet with clients in person. When you work with me, you're working with a real person — not an online plan service or a big drafting department at a lumber company. Your project gets my full attention.
If you're thinking about building, remodeling, or adding on, I'd love to hear about it. Start a conversation — no pressure, no obligations.
You don't need to have it all figured out. Tell me what you're thinking and I'll help you figure out the next steps — no pressure, no obligations.
